*bump* I guess I just kinda melee'd the King KO... Alright, I admit, I did reduce his health a bit with a few thrown Arma Volatus' before I started whacking on him. But still, surviving all those long minutes sparring with the King was quite fun to do. I expected Flare to drop dead any second, and I was really surprised to see the King drop first. ;D After waiting a bit over 3 minutes, and he didn't get up again, I decided to just get it over with, though. I sort of forgot that he has zero regeneration and therefor cannot got up after he drops...

I guess I just kinda melee'd the King KO... ROFL! I'm glad you liked it. ;D And to add : This time I decided to take on the King solely on melee, so no magic nor ranged attacks were launched at the King this time. Only a Knight's Blade. The battle started at 27:50 (first hit, game-clock) and the King was dead by 32:43 (last hit, game-clock). So it took Flare a bit under 5 minutes to kill the King, using melee-attacks alone. She did take several hits during the fight, but the hardest she got his for, was about half her health at once. Mostly she only lost two to four health each time the King hit her, and her regeneration kept her alive, together with the King's inaccuracy (or Flare's dodging). I think Flare would be a great character to have in a party, though. She isn't very versatile on her own, seeing as how she was built pure on Confidence (now that was a challenge) and thus cannot cast "Hold Creature" more than three times before running our of mana, and she can't be expected to take care of the Bishops on the Castle walls because her Lightning spells are very weak (no mana, no stack). Yet, her presence would make it easier for mages to weave their spells upon the King, for example. Oh, and the fact that it took only a bit over half an hour rather than an hour to get to and kill the King this time, was that I swapped some food-slots for Arma Volatus' to make the Knights go down a lot faster on the way towards the King.

Well, as you've probably figured out, the Arma Volatus is meant to be pretty deadly. Like all thrown weapons, it can be used with a shield, and you have some ability to parry with it. Like the spear, you can't dodge it easily, and it tends to pound right through shields. The Arma Volatus also has an advantage in that you make a bunch of them at once, not just one at a time. Unfortunately, the pattern requirements are rather difficult (to say the least), and like all thrown weapons, you have to be careful - particularly when in close - or you can simply toss them away to no effect and lose them. Overall, it was intended to be a weapon just behind the Arma Igneus in power, and that's pretty much how it turned out. It's an ideal weapon for a stand-up fighter who doesn't want their dexterity to fall TOO far behind.

good shot! My stealth would always give out at the top of that elevator. too many observers. I had to keep going up to the top, hitting the down lever, casting lightning bolt on the way down. Lightning bolt, once it locks on, will hit its target no matter what the distance or obstacles between. A few trips up and down the elevator and the top is cleared.
Of course, my main problem was that those pesky bishops keep summoning war machines onto the elevator. I would think that would violate the load limit, but it didn't. and those things HURT if they hit.

The way I do it go up on invisible walk past them all toward the castle then come back on stealth and take them in small groups.
