Fury is mad powerful there are like 30 strong trolls and a bunch of trolls on the way there will take forever. He has 47750 health and is strong but the main problem is the trolls but he is quite strong. I ran out of health potions on the way there. I am level 121 valkyrie regenerating 137 health a second. How strong do I have to be. Can any of you kill him if you can I will set up an internet game and I would like help to kill him. How strong do you have to be. So I'll tell you my IP address if you come and help me kill him. I can't use soul destruction and that only kills one monster. I need all the help I can get.

I can kill fury, but not with the level of skill some of the folks here exhibit. Oh boy, the Nekid fury runs. Wow! I can't find the old naked fury run thread on SiegeNetwork, but boy was that exciting! And yes, that was the challenge. Take a wizard character in with nothing but one spell book and kill fury. And wow, they DID it. I never could. I can clear everything up to fury, but I just can't kill fury with spells and no armor. alas. Perhaps next time. I just got DS loaded under linux. But I don't have it running quite right yet. <sigh>
Perhaps one of the experts can take you through a good run. Heck, if I could get DS running under linux, I'd love to join a multiplayer game sometime.

I'm guessing there's more than 30 trolls in the cave with Fury. More likely there's about 100 of them, I think.
I can kill Fury too, without too many problems, but then again, my 2 main characters are over level 140. Fury is quite a challenge when you only barely meet the requirements to get to him. And without the right spells ( and enough mana to actually use them ), he can be quite difficult. Of course, I never got a pure melee Valk up to level 120, so I can't say much about it. They should do quite some damage.
If the trolls are being annoying you, here's two hints for non-mages : - Use the Heart Bow to hit ONE troll, then back off. If the other trolls didn't see you, only the one you hit will come to you. A single troll shouldn't be much of a problem for your Valk. This way, you can slowly work your way to Fury, without having to use up your potions. If you have enough mana for a good Healing spell ( I advise Battle Healing ), you should be able to get by without potions at all. - If the trolls respawn faster than you kill them, use Corpse Transmutation ( or however it was called ). It destroys the body of the troll, so it can't respawn. Meanwhile, it heals you, too, and shouldn't cost much mana either. Though getting your hands on the spell as a Valk that hasn't bested Fury yet may be tricky ( but far from impossible ).
Kilarin, if you ever get it running under Linux, please let me know. I've tried installing it with Wine ( though I was doing many different things at once at the time, so I didn't really pay much attention to it ), but I never got further than disk one, because after changing disks and pressing "continue" it kept asking for disk 2... So right now, I'm still having a dual-boot system. Got 5 GB of the hdd set aside for Windows and DS, and the rest is all under 'buntu.
I'd love to play some MultiPlayer, too. Only thing is, my Internet is a bit laggy. I usually get a "Synchronising with Host"-thingie every ten or so minutes. Doesn't bother me much, but tends to work on the nerves of the other people. Especially when it kicks either me, or them, out of the game on average once an hour.

I need someone to clear out the trolls and help me beat up fury. All I really want is the eye so I can complete the valkyrie set. I would also like the stuff he drops but it is fine without. What level should I be to kill fury?

I think I once had a pure melee human beat Fury without much trouble at level 122, but he did have the Flaming Defender, which made if fairly impossible for him to die.
Two tips on killing Fury : - Curse. - Malign.
Using my two previous tips, you should be able to get to Fury, using these you should be able to beat Fury ( given you have a few health potions, and some good jewelry from the trolls ).
If you still have troubles, or want the easy way of getting help in doing it rather than boasting you did it on your own, I'm willing to lend a hand. Though, be warned, my internet isn't very stable, and just joining a game may take an hour of fiddling and cursing. Staying in the game is an issue, too. It's less problematic over a virtual network, but still not as easy as it should be. And most people don't like to do join a strangers' virtual network anyway ( for obvious reasons ).

Okay I hate cheats but this isn't the game I wanted to do. I just wanted a valkyrie so I can get the valkyrie set. Fury is to powerful. Isn't there some cheat like +drdeath, or another one like it that works?

Try to get a few more levels bashing on the Cave Trolls. Meanwhile, keep your eyes open for some rings ( Insane Ring of Insanity, anyone ? ) which may help you when meleeing Fury. If you really can't do it on your own, and if you really CAN be bothered with trying to get me into a game with you ( main problem is my unstable internet ), I'm willing to try to help you killing Fury. Though, today my course started, which means I have to get up at 5am and leave the house at 6am, and only get back around 8pm. Currently, it is 8h20pm, where I am. So if you look at the time I've posted this, it may give you an idea of the time I may be availiable to try this. Good luck

Are you using any spells? Pick up Cyclone of Fire or Tornado of Fire, then summon up Rich again, OR, go kill some dragons, using just that spell. You will rapidly build up to a nice level of magic user skills. Then you can probably use that spell alone to kill everything in the Fury Cave, including Fury.

To Kilarin's Pillar/Cyclone of Fire : - No Cluster Bombs for the trolls ?
Besides, his stats are those of a melee fighter. His INT will be quite low as a result, so casting may be annoying, especially with high level high-manacost spells. Granted, as a Valk he can use that special helm to boost mana, but I don't think it'll be enough for casting a way through the cave all the way to Fury's death.

Liantedan: you are absolutely correct about that other spell being very useful. I use it myself in there. But you can get by with just the fire spells. And I thought perhaps limiting the different options might make things easier for eholzman. BUT, if he can pick up that spell and cast it, yeah, it certainly makes a big hole in the trolls.
The nice thing about the fire spells is that you can stack them.
Oooo, very valid point. I always play spellcasters in hyperborea, so I forget details like that.

Using CM spells on RoF will get you up to using Cyclone of Fire/Cluster Bomb etc. very quickly. With ranged spells like those, you just lure him to a "stuck" point and keep casting. You can even go away and let the game play itself while you build up the levels!
There's also a NM equivalent (Tornado of Fire or something like that) but it requires about the same level.
(P.S. No cheat codes in LoH, at least not ones that help!)

And really, killing Fury is THE biggest challenge in LOH. Your 120th level Valkyrie isn't going to have a lot else to do if she doesn't want to challenge Fury. Level up some spell powers and, even with the low int, give it a try. LOH is a challenge. It's MEANT to be. Now we just need for some mad scientist to clone Xaa so that he could sit down and build us an entire new extension to LOH.

And really, killing Fury is THE biggest challenge in LOH. Your 120th level Valkyrie isn't going to have a lot else to do if she doesn't want to challenge Fury. Level up some spell powers and, even with the low int, give it a try. My main Valk is a hybrid melee-mage, as most of my characters always are. I just like the ability to spice up my melee, without having to constantly keep my eye on my health. ( Though I do enjoy playing mages a lot, too, I rarely enjoy playing pure melee chars for longer than a few hours. ) Just being able to use that otherwise blue bar AND save up those potions, is to me a very nice benefit. Anyway, I digress. My main Valk is, as I said, a melee-mage. So her melee isn't as powerful as it could be at her level, but I rectify that with the ability of being able to heal myself mid-combat, without the delay and waste of potions. She also usually uses Spirit Armor and Flame Shield, but can cast a few Cluster Bombs in a row, if she has to. I believe I took her to Fury around level 122, where she cast Curse and Malign on Fury, than proceeded to use her sword some more. She may have had to heal herself a few times during the battle, but she made it. Now, she can just walk in and melee him, though sometimes she needs to heal herself once during the battle. ( I don't like my health bar dropping below 60% ) So yes, if just fight the Cave Trolls for a bit, and collect the amulets and rings and keep the best ones, and do this a few times over, without facing Fury, you'll drastically improve your chances of beating the God of Hate. Now we just need for some mad scientist to clone Xaa so that he could sit down and build us an entire new extension to LOH. That would be very nice indeed, though, we should get the scientist to clone his wife too. Without her, we'd've never had Mageworld. So who knows what two of them would make the two Xaa's do ? Speaking of Mw, wasn't there a rumour about the possible future existance of a Mw3.1 ? ( Not pushing, just curious. )
