I've tried staff pattern, every piece of wood from branch to darkwood shaft to 1/4 staff etc. with rune of creation and I must be the only person playing the game who completed the riddle dungeon but can't figure out to make a magic staff. Please please please help me.
Thanks.
I love this game!

It's ok. I needed the summon staff spell. I figured it out after reading some of the other posts in the mageworld forum.
Thanks anyway,
Allanah

I just downloaded it, but I cannot find the readme. Where is it, or how do I install? I would hope someone would send me and e-mail at o2bapilot@sbcglobal.net to tell me the answer to either question. (I would prefer it if you just told me how to install! )

I would hope someone would send me and e-mail at o2bapilot@sbcglobal.net to tell me the answer to either question. (I would prefer it if you just told me how to install! ) Step 1) When you open the file, this is what you see: Looking at this, we see a file called "HOW TO INSTALL.TXT" Step 2) Open HOW TO INSTALL.TXT. You then see this: Hmmm... It's telling us that the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS are in the EULA, and we have to READ THE EULA to find the PASSWORD, and once we open the OTHER ARCHIVE we'll be able to read the README and INSTALL. Step 3) The EULA you need to read is that other file in the archive named "MAGEWORLD EULA.TXT". Why not open it and read it, and see if that helps?

If you are having trouble with the mageworld install, you can download Mageworld Journal and it will do the install for you. It even creates all of the proper folders and an icon on your desktop. NOTE:You MUST have the Java JRE installed, version 1.4 or above, in order for Mageworld Journal to work. It's very likely already on your PC, if not, It's a free download from Sun at: java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html You want the 4th link, "Download J2SE JRE". If you use it, let me know how it works for you.

THANK YOU! But a little late, and I am officially playing now! However, how do you sew? And how to you make your icon look all cool like what Xaa gave us to work with? The Dungeon Siege one gets old......

The Dungeon Siege one gets old...... Right-click the desktop shortcut. Select "Properties". You'll see a button labeled "Change Icon." Navigate to the Icon you unzipped, and select it. For more assistance with basic Windows™ tasks, click a blank spot on your desktop and hit the F1 key on your keyboard.
