This one is really cool. I made this thing entirely from scratch. And it actually works! Not only are all the valves and dials and guages and stuff posable, but the engine has a "run" dial you can turn - and it runs! The governor flicks open and spins, the piston moves back and forth, pushing the flywheel, the regulator flicks back and forth... It works like a real steam engine! I made three basic animation files (Run Fast, Run Moderate, Run Slow) and several MAT poses. For example, here's the "1876 Centennial Edition" MAT pose, with all the rivets brightly painted: And here's the "Industrial" pose, for engines just sitting around in the background of an industrial scene: And here's the "Rusted Heap" pose, for engines that have not stood the test of time well. Even the flywheel is selectable - you can choose a gear, or a friction belt wheel. This project was a LOT of fun to do.
