Though we used Hamachi to chat a bit while getting things sorted. It was easier for communications than posting here and refreshing every minute or so for replies.

Sounds interesting, what side is everybody on? Mixed or single, are we starting with new characters or old ones?

Last time we played a level 5 and level 7 char, I think. Though I have some high level ones as well, if anyone's up for raiding castles.
Starting brand new chars in MP is a bit annoying, mostly. It takes an hour or two to learn the basics of combat, some skills, and to craft gear. By the time you've trained some, you usually have gained at least one level, without having seen your first foe. Also, only the host can be trained by trainers, so you'd have the host training first, and then him/her training the others in the game the same stuff he/she's just learned. ( Yes, the host can teach stuff to other chars in Mw. Pretty much the same as a trainer does. The difference being that easy skills are learned faster, yet complex ones slower. Though I'm not entirely sure if that got revised too when Xaa changed the training speed... )
So yeah, it's easier for everyone if everyone creates a char on their own, and trains it a little ( or a lot ). If you want/need some help with gear, just ask. I'm sure there'll be someone who's got a char that can help you out.
Overall it's easiest to play a Red char, I think. They can chose which side they're on by means of which region they enter first, or at higher level they can just pick a side irrelevant to which region they will be entering first.
We could even play "defend the castle" or something silly like that, if we have more people playing. ( 2 teams, one defenders and one attackers. I've always wondered how hard it'd be to raid a castle in Mw if it were defended by actual players... )

How about hide and seek? Mageworld is a pretty big place to hide in.

Haha, yes. Too big, though. I'm sure one could play hide-and-seek for days without finding one another. And because of the airships, both parties could end up locking themselves up. Maybe we should restrict ourselves -for the moment- to full-metal tag ?

Also perhaps you should put our mageworld chanel info here? then other people can log onto that maybe.
