I have found the game that Xaa should point people too when they complain that Mageworld and Hyperboria are too hard! Progress Quest! It's a free download at: www.progressquest.com/And it's a FAST Download, which is AMAZING for a game this incredible! Progress Quest offers hours upon hours of adventure, months and months of time to develop your character, get new loot, sell loot, purchase new equipment, etc. There are ENDLESS varieties of cool armor and countless different kinds of magical weapons. But the joy, the thing that makes Progress Quest PERFECT, is the user interface. Dungeon Siege went a long way towards simplifying the user interface for RPG games. But Progress Quest has taken it to the next step. This interface is so simple that it requires no training at all. You have it all entirely figured out in the first few minutes of play. It is a gem of minimized perfection among a crowd of RPG's with bulging and overly complex user interfaces. Oh, and Progress Quest is not a Single Player only game. It has a Multiplayer mode that allows you to interact with THOUSANDS of other players simultaneously in a number of different online realms. If you were not satisfied with Mageworld or Hyperborea, Download and play Progress Quest now! It's free, it's GREAT, You will NOT regret it!!! www.progressquest.com

Ok, just in case no one tried it, allow me to clarify exactly how "Progress Quest" works. First you create a character, choosing a race and class and rolling up some stats. None of which really matter. Then once you click "Start" the game runs itself. The only graphics are the progress bars and text messages informing you of what quests you are on, what monsters you are currently defeating, and what loot you have picked up. When you get too much loot to carry, the character heads back to town, sells everything and buys better equipment. Then heads back out to attack the next random quest and kill a bunch of random monsters. Experience points rack up automatically. Your equipment gets better and better (and with more and more extravagant modifiers!) , and you don't have to do anything at all except "enjoy the progress". So, like I said, I think this is the PERFECT game for people who think Mageworld and Hyperborea are to hard. They can get all the satisfaction they want in gathering up meaningless loot by playing Progress Quest! I must admit though, there IS something oddly satisfying about watching your character stats increasing. I've currently got a Gyrognome Robot Monk up to 15th level! He's already completed the Prologue and is into Act I of this incredibly gripping plot!!!! (and he's using a +2 Heavy Invisible Whinyard to whomp up on a he battles with an undead Humidity Giant)

Ok, I tried it yester and I agree, it really is the prefect game for those whining about LoH and Mw being far too hard, and for those who need to have "god mode" enabled to enjoy games. I also have to agree with the awkward sense of satisfaction gazing at those stupid progress bars. My Greater Gnome Mage Illusioner is currently level 8, as has a visible +2 Whinyard to bash things while Seeking the Gleaming Cobble. I'm glad he traded in his Moth-eaten Ring Mail for a -1 Warped Scale Mail a little ago, as I'd hate him to find out the moths that were eating his metal armour to start nibbling on him, too. Those Moths sound a lot scarier than the monsters he's been fighting so far, really. (Curently a Cardboard Golem.) Wait, he just traded his +2 Whinyard in for a Spontoon, now. Edit:After having it minimized to the system tray for 10 hours while I was using the pc for other stuff... My level 21 Greater Gnome Mage Illusionist now is bashing ( groups of ) things with a +11 Pronged Vicious Leafmace and has a few Diamond Mail items equipped. The -1 Motheaten Diamond Mail worries me the most. I now really dread encountering those moths. I also wonder why he has 29 STR and only 22 INT and 25 WIS, when he's mostly casting spells. Then again, he does have 44 CHA. Maybe this Class casts by Charisma instead of Intelligence or Wisdom ? Or are these stat-increases just as nonsensically random as the equipment ? I guess the developers her etook the "fork" out of "forking", eh ?

Liantedan: Yep. It's forking without damaging your keyboard! Xaa: I thought you might appreciate it. I remember you discussing once creating a mod that would just pop up a "You Win!" sign as soon as you started the game. I don't remember if you actually DID it, but Progress request reminded me of that.

Ugh... I can't believe I actually forgot I had this thing still running... I though it'd be funny to run it for a few days on one of my servers, but after having minimized it, it disappeared off to the system tray, where I didn't see it, and thus forgot all about it. Then again CHA is almost as high as the cumulative total of all his other stats, so I guess he casts on charisma, not on wisdom nor intelligence.
I now apparently have a level 54 Greater Gnome Mage Illusionist, wielding a +39 Serrated Dancing Bastard Sword. His INT is still lower than his STR, with DEX the lowest stat of all. A level 65 Slime Finger appears to be his highest level spell.
Ah well, time for him to go to sleep now.

This is truly hysterical. I can level up while I sleep. I could even die & still keep gaining stats.

Perhaps we should request that the authors make some improvements. For one thing, I have to click to start this game. *I* think it should just automatically start upon install, and if it placed itself in the start menu, it could restart itself every time you restarted your computer. Of course, if they get THAT fixed, we could work on avoiding the annoying install process via viral distribution...

Hahahaha this "game" ( CAN you even call this a game) is what the kiddies call these days "epic fail", it's SO bad it's just pure comedy. Actually, yes, I did make a mod that said "you win" at the start screen. And people STILL bitched about it. Hahaha people will b*tch about anything as I found out in my (very short) map-making career for another game called Unreal Tournament 2004, in a gametype where all you did was jump through obstacle courses. People where complaining that the current maps where getting stale, so I decided it would be a great time for me to make a map, and I did, it still is, to this day the best map ever for that gametype. More time, thought, effort, love and care was put into that map than all of the others combined. However people whined and whined and whined like unbelieveable, acting as if it was the worst thing on the planet. So, confused, I decided to create the WORST map in that game's history. It was so extremely poorly made that there was glaring errors and even black holes throughout the entire map, horrendous music blared at annoying volumes, random textures made from every retarded picture on the net imaginable smeared allover it's walls and a obstacle course SO insanely torturous it makes even it's own creator want to cry. The funny thing? It got the same exact kind of negative outcry as the first map did. Yes. For whatever reason they gave the WORST map ever the same response as the BEST map ever. Whiner logic at it's finest. I thought for a bit that maybe, what they really where wanting was a give-me map where all you had to do was play it and win, so I made this default sized cube (Think of it as taking the generic nodeset in DS, putting down a single node with a spawnpoint and calling it a map) with a trigger that made them win the moment they entered the map. They gave it same level of whining, actually, they got much worse than that, they began giving flat-out ridiculous outpour of verbal garbage, pouting and abuse to me for no other reason than simply making what they seemed to be wanting in the first place(A new, totally original map unlike any of the other ones they where complaining about to begin with!) I've concluded nowadays that the more you do the worse they get. And none of them have a clue what they really want. Alot of them complain just to complain.

Getting reputation with the Frenzyheart Tribe wow power leveling is fun and rewarding. It doesn¡¯t necessarily have to take you a lot of time if you make sure you complete the wow gold chain quest and then do those dailies. Once you are Exalted with these guys you could choose to become Exalted with The Oracles. wow power leveling There is an achievement that requires you to become exalted with both the Frenzyheart wow gold Tribe and The Oracles. I would advise that, if you plan to raise your reputation to Exalted with both factions, you end with the one that is most dearest to you, SRO Gold and probably, which trinket you would really like to be able to use since you can¡¯t equip them if you don¡¯t EVE ISK have the Exalted status with This strategy has been tested by many people and myself SRO gold so it absolutely works great! On the down side this strategy only works with mages and priests. SNW vis A group of a mage and a priest is the ideal way for this strategy to work.
