- shouldn't there be more info in the journal, on where to proceed next..?? - mine always seems to be barren of entries.. - is that intentional, or has my game installation gone haywire..?? - eek! Do I have to resort to scribbling, or occasionally peeking at the map..?!! ..actually I may just be getting forgetful in my old age, but there's so much to remember each time I return to play the game.. ;D

It is intentional that you only get vague directions in your journal. "Find a conmanion" and "go to Tir Milani to let T'Vril study Necromancy" are normal journal entries. To actually find your companion when you first start the game, you actually have to look around for one. To find Tir Milani you have to look for road markers and ask directions to people. Several people will tell you Tir Milani is in the Incabulous Forest, and that forest has many road markers leading to it. So, the character you play knows only what he/she finds out with logic, asking, or looking around. You do not have a Mantri at your side who tells you when to go left or right, you have T'Vril with you, and she tells you where you need to go, rather than how you need to get there. The rest is up to you. Taking notes is just easier to prevent forgetting clues.

And remember that LOH is VERY open ended. You don't have to do things in a particular order. You wanna go fight giants before you pick up necromancy, go for it. And good luck, you're going to NEED it...

Well, I've managed to find the Necromancer and his daughter.. ..the next question.. where to from here? ;D
- incidentally T'Vril had to leave me and the undead mule, way back at the entrance to these caves.. - I don't fancy trying to get the mule past those guards..!!
- er, does T'Vril go on to explore the palace alone, or should we all come back here later, after speaking to Dalar..??

Well, if you are feeling like stretching your abilities and taking some risks, then you might explore some more of Tir Milani. BUT, its VERY risky at this point, and really needs both your hero and T'Vrill.
To follow the plot, its now time to LEAVE Tir Milani and move on to your next quest point.

..made it back to Hamlyn in record time.. - traded in a heap of Troll clubs, and kitted out Boney with armour.. T'Vril has some smart new threads, too.. (- I think she likes like the skull motif..!!) - now to seek out Dalar and proceed from there.. (Excellent game!!) ;D

heh, heh..!! - making some real headway now.. - we're off to the Dwarven City to find the Hammer.. - I like T'Vril's new outfit, and I've just noticed that skelly's wrist is jointed.. - smooth animations all round in this game - the characters movements are very realistic at 0.9 speed..

- now that I've got a map, things are getting easier.. (not!!)..obviously I'm going to have do some serious baddie-bashing to get enough cash to pay for the goodies on sale here..
- I notice the dwarven smith had some choice items for sale, and the necromancer, too.. just a little too expensive (- at the moment!!)
- time for some serious gold-hunting, methinks..
- ever onward!
