I am at level 81. Not too keen at this point to go down the 1km ladder to kill lactri. I know I need the song of vox after lactri to open up dungeon and recruit a rat pple for sailing skill to elf island. That I might do later.
How abt Fury in the troll's cave. Do i really need to be at level 120 to enter the troll cave and fight Fury? can I do it now.

Do i really need to be at level 120 to enter the troll cave and fight Fury? can I do it now. See, the Rat people buying the Sailing skill is a bug (feature?). It was intended you are unable to buy that skill unless you are level 120. So, it's REALLY advisable to get to level 120 BEFORE skirmishing with the Cave Trolls, let alone Fury himself. Normally, you go kill Lactri, go to the Hunting Grounds, pay a visit to Rich', the Hyperborean Dungeons, the Island, and then Fury's Cave. You may as well want to go past the Cemetery on your way there, in case you need some crafting done. You can bash on some Swamp Trolls and do the Kings' Quest before or after Lactri (I think), though I always do those after, seeing how I usually am too low level to do the Kings' Quest before I go down the Endless Stairs, but have a sufficient level after. And as to the question whether or not you're able to kill the Cave Trolls at your current level : No. Oh, sure, you may be able to kill a single Troll, if you play VERY carefully and use your entire party along with your best friend (the pause-button), but the Trolls respawn too quickly to be able to successfully pluck your way through the entire Cave at a speed of one Troll at the time. Often you'll accidentally lure more than one, and will be forced to retreat, but there's freshly spawned Trolls behind you, and thus nowhere to run. (I tried this with my level 115 Shikari, and he can kill one or two Cave Trolls at the same time, by constantly moving and this taking no hits whatsoever, but he never made it all the way up to Fury on his own so far, simply because the Trolls repawn too fast, and limit his movement too badly to survive all throughout the Cave.)

With a wizard it's more possible. Due to the DS "particle damage xp" bug, you can build up levels pretty quickly in there.

actually, my question is : will I be "block" from entering the troll cave if I am less than lvl 120. the same way which you will be block from the king's quest until you hit lvl 45.
Being at least the 8th time I playing LOH, I am actually doing this round with modification to Xaa's mod to allow me to short-circuit the quest. This is done for my own interest and learnings on how some things are being set in DS engine.
For example : I have been intrigued with the ammo/fuel limitation on my dragon minigun. Except for my reload delay factor, I have not been able to make this weapon more potent in LOH to face the swamp trolls. Still trying though....

I found it. Thanks for hint. It did not occur to me to be sailing on the swamp.... not exactly the kind of thing you do with a sailing skill. But very ingenious......
I found Escher's waterfall, there is only 1 buyer and he doesn't sell stuffs? Seems like I have tonnes of $$ but nothing to buy from him. I have a feeling I am missing something here, there is a level and a corpse cropped up and I finished him off and it dropped a bone...and the goblin keep poking fun at me... Pardon my de-ja-vu feeling, there is a "secret" tunnel somewhere right???

That one buyer tells you there is something he wants to know. Do you have an item that could show him the answer to his question?

Is there more to this place than what meets the eye? BTW, when I cloaked and use AoD against the trolls back in the cave, I was not able to cast it until I am almost walking side by side near them. It looked a little different from the AoD which the hunting ground dragons casted. They seemed to be able to do it at range.

That's most likely because you try to cast while you're cloaked. I don't think Cloak of Shadows (LoH) was intended like Stealth (Mw). The Cloak is in LoH so you can sneak past enemies who would otherwise be too hard for you to confront (such as the Assassin very early on), and thus trying to use it offensively may generate a few bugs, such as a difference in range, or the impossiblity to cast at all.
