Ah well. I suspected it was hardcoded, thank you for the confirmation. I also have a question about a spell recipe; where should I put that? You can post it to a new thread in the mageworld forum, or e-mail me.

Probably the most dramatically changed character is the robot. Aside from getting a new starting skillset (he begins with both his own version of Meditation and Rune Foraging, since he eats runes), the robot now has a "Lockdown" mode when you cast on enemies. When he casts on enemies, he cannot be interrupted in casting except by damage (I.E. he does not parry). He still gains his full defensive bonuses, however. This was introduced to provide a better balance for the lack of stealth/invisibility for the robot. His armor is also more effective against ranged attacks than before. Also, the "rank two" and "rank three" magic staves for the robot are different - they get their own staff. Stats are the same as ordinary staves, they just look different. Of course, the robot retains his old abilities - he shoots better with the Arma Igneus than other characters with identical stats, etcetera. However, due to all the changes with the robot, if you already have a robot who has nine skills, he won't be compatible with 2.0, you'll have to start a new robot that has an open slot in his skill list.

I hope 2.0 is done soon, im dying to beat game once and for all, because of my ignorance i patched in middle of 1.0 and botched game up and decided to wait for 2.0. I beat black king but white king didnt exist , my installation of 1.1 patch and failure to read readme, has put me back 3 weeks of gameplay, live and learn.

In the 1.1 patch, the white king is at the top of a tower. You have to figure out how to unlock the gate, then figure out how to find him.

Just a question (which probably won't get a straight answer--but it's worth a shot, eh? ;D ) After just returning to DS after a long hiatus (shame about SN), I saw that Mageworld was actually released . Imagine my surprise when I heard that Xaa not only had decided to stick with DS mods, but that he had a new one about to be released 2.0. (It almost matched my shock that Team Elemental actually released anything). Anyways, my question was whether it was worth downloading 1.1 of Mageworld with my somewhat shifty DSL or whether I should wait for 2.0? Will there be compatibility issues between versions?

Please note that there is no "superior helm" for the bishop, the bishop's helm is already equivalent to the best helm knights can get.

[glow=red,2,300]The Full List of Recipies for Mageworld 2.0:[/glow]Tinker = 37 Recipies Blacksmith = 37 Recipies Bowyer = 16 Recipies Alchemy = 31 Recipies Tailor = 32 Recpies Food Preparation = 13 Recipies Enchant Item (Spell) = 35 Recipies Spell Research = 36 Recipies
What, you didn't think I was going to just give them all away, now, did you? Just knowing how many there are to discover should be enough. [edit]And yes, even after you trim out the duplications (some items can be made by more than one skill), there are still well over two hundred different items you can create with Crafting in Mageworld.[/edit]

Thanks for that much Xaa. It's nice to know when to quit looking at least.

hey Xaa, will there be superior gloves and boots and other "superior" items beside the bishops stuff in 2.0? Yes and no. No, in that you can't make anything that provides more protection than Enchanted Chain. Yes, in that there are new gloves and boots you can make.

spell = 36 +skills =10 + few health bottles + few food + few arrows for arma igneus + toolkit + few runes + all crafting items = small inventaory + extremly large magic bottle
I feels in each time in multiplayer that,most of my equipment in magic bottle and at the time of need we will have to break it and have to find that item in that big store.This problem begins since there are no more magic books.
Is it possible that MP characters can have two magic bottles one for very important items and another for junk.

having two bottles would cause your character to implode

I think a 2nd magic bottle is probably not going to happen. (sure would be nice though!) Inventory managment is SUPPOSED to be a challenge. I can see that in MP it would be a SEVERE challange. Now for MY "I want it, but you probably shouldn't give it to me" wishlist: A 2nd spell book. It could be a really hard to craft secret item! With two spell books I could organize all of my important spells/skills and carry them with me, nice and handy. <sigh> Alas, The akwardness of carting around all those spells is part of Xaa's intent as a disadvantage for wizards to counter the MAJOR powers of magic. So, yes, I WANT that 2nd spell book, and if Xaa ever decided it would fit in game ballance wise, I would have it in my inventory in an instant. BUT, I do NOT want Xaa adding it unless *HE* decides it would help instead of hinder the game. And I just don't think he is going to decide that. Heck, I'm not convinced of it myself.

No matter how much inventory space you give the players in any game, they will always want more. The Magic Bottle is infinite space, and people want infinity+1. No, I am not going to put in a second magic bottle. Take the time to manage your inventory.
