Crafting the items in LOH 3.0

How do I craft an item in LOH 3.0? Example: I place leather items on the ground and place the crafting kit on the ground, but nothing happends. Same goes for other crafting skills. What am I doing wrong?

Only placement of items never works.You need to use skill also.You also need correct recipe.
