Where can I go to practice archery, or for that matter spellcasting? I'm currently in QK1, having gone south from QK3.

There are three pells in QR1, KK1 and KR1 where you can build ranged skill but I have found that the best ways to build spellcasting skill is to use a magic staff as a melee weapon and using magic dart against the giant spiders you meet later in the middle regions.

I'm going to share some information I've discovered through experimentation with you. Of the four skills, precision seems to be the only one with a bonus to experience above the 1 point per action. It seems to gain more experience per shot than other skills. I suspect this is because Xaa added bonuses for things like hitting, hitting well (such as doing high or max damage), etc. to promote game balance, since it takes much longer to shoot an arrow and retrieve it/make new arrows than it does to simply swing your sword once..particularly with combat training, which is not available for bows. My recommendation for leveling up precision would be to hunt deer/other ambients. Yes, Deer. Why? Because they're easy to hit, they don't hit back, and you don't seem to get the same special bonuses for hitting pells (I am not 100% certain of this). Finally, and most importantly, deer and other ambients respawn ..you won't run out of enemies and be limited to a certain experience level (of course, pells don't die and have no need to respawn, heh).. Also note that it's much easier to hunt if you use stealth, as explained in the readme (I think?), but it's not necessary. The key is to approach a deer from behind, so they will run in your direction when startled, directly into your arrow.. P.S. Yes, I'm serious. Hunting is better exp than fighting/shooting pells. I'm fairly certain of this. [Edit] I forgot to mention that some pells only give experience until a certain level has been reached, and then only give it rarely (on critical hits perhaps?) as far as I am able to determine. This was my biggest deterrent to using them after a while...that and the monotony. It's more interesting to hunt.

That may be, but I don't care to use that method as it takes away from my game experience in that it's not realistic.

You shouldn't encourage people to rob that poor virahita lady blind. She makes her living by selling cheese, made from the milk of her cows. If you kill the bull, she can no longer plan on making little cows for later on, and all cows will become extinct in Shatranj.
Killing someone elses property is not an example of good ethical values, and might be disrewarding.

Well, what I meant by realistic is that I don't think you get a whole lot of practice with aiming your missile weapons with precision attacking a bovine (incase you're wondering, that's the correct name of the species, bull means male and cow means female..sorry, I just have to tell people this). They are big and docile, heh heh. More importantly, it's not in line with Pooka's character. She is a basically good and (maybe overly) kind-hearted person. She would never do such a thing, and it is a role-playing game after all. Finally, and not to give away anything I shouldn't, but I'm sure everyone who uses that method understands exactly why it is unrealistic in terms of behavior and probability.

So you are encouraging people to not to kill anyone in the MW otherwise they can be called something like murderer. This is a game where anything is done by Pooka not by me.Pooka can break promise like she did with red queen.Have you talked to the NPC in QR1 merchant.War is peace in MW.Don't think what that virahita will do after killing that Ferdinend.Think what you can do to get victory against other races.May victory needs sacrifice of something.
