I've reached the Red Queen, and now have to choose which of the ancient weapons I'll take (or if I'll take the Lorica Squamata). Any opinions?

The Armus Igneus is by far the best, unless your level is super high, its the most lethal in the game....in my opinion.

I wouldn't worry too much about which one you take. It's possible to craft all of the Ancient Weapons. So you can always collect them all later. The Arma Igneus never misses..but it breaks your arrows, which is a pain, so I don't use it. The Lorica Squamata is more useful for pvp, as it is the counter-measure against the Arma Igneus, as Xaa has previously stated. Of the available choices these are the best two, once again purely in my opinion. I would recommend taking the Arma Igneus for now, as it can add quite a lot of firepower to your arsenal.
