Pyramid lever puzzle bugged or am I bugged?

Good day all.

I have recently found my disk again of DS, and decided to play it with this siegelet.
However as some before me I am stuck at the pyramid levers.

I have read the forum and tried the solution but I am afraid it is bugged.
As already stated there are 24 possible combination's.

So that would mean the following. (correct me if I am wrong please)
This is gonna be a lengthy post, I am probably thinking to much behind it but still it would be nice to hear it from another person

1234 1243 1324 1342 1423 1432

2134 2314 2341 2431 2143 2413

3124 3142 3214 3241 3421 3412

4123 4132 4213 4231 4312 4321

However I am only able to get the torches lit on the first table.
Here are the combination's I tried on the first one.

1234 = 234 1243 = 234 1324 = 134 1342 = 123 1423 = 234 1432 = 234

After every try I did a load game to check if the combination wasn't reset randomly.

After this I used the first combination that lights the first torch (1324) till this point no problems I saved the game with the name of the lever pulled, and started to work on the second table.
However none of the torches changed on the second table third or fourth.

I Have tried both up down position resetting it and reloading the game from the first combination.
I don't mind puzzling but if it is bugged I am wasting lot of time trying to solve the impossible.

However it is off course more likely I went to deep in it.
On note if the combinations are made based on every pull, would it not mean 24x24= 576? combinations.

I imagine some must be really tired of having to answering this all the time, still I hope some might know what I am doing wrong.

I have downloaded the siegelet on oktober 15 2008 of the tripod site.
I have the retail legends of aranna disk so it is patched.

I noticed the site is down again.
If any has information why, it would be most appreciated ^^

Ok now I am kinda spooked if It wasnt for my own eyes to see I would think the game was pulling me a joke...
I got 3 torches lit however now the door is open.
I have not changed anything since my last edit it just sat 2 hours in pause mode.

If Xaa is interested in reviewing this bug I have provided a image with the torches and the door in it.
Most curious thing is if this thing is not random how can it decide for itself to just open.

Is it possible you already opened it while testing numerous combinations and just didn't notice it? I know there is a pattern to getting those levers down, but I don't worry about it. I simply click crazy like a mad fool and it eventually comes open. I've never spent more then 5-10 minutes on it in the four times I've played it. One time I found it open when I thought it was suppose to be closed.

Although that would be the most logical thing I am afraid that is not the cause of this.
I have saved the combination one by one and the ones that didn't worked were removed.
You might ask yourself why should I even do that, truth is I was bored and wanted a time wasting challenge xd

I than posted this message while the game was in pause mode and the character not in a position it could set of a trigger in event of a random key press.


Also if the combination was correct I would think the torches stay lid since the combination has been completed, although I can be wrong about this when I have more time I will see if I can replicate the same thing with the same situation.
