Hmm, that is indeed odd. Do you have copy of DSLOA or the regular DS ? If you used the original DS to install, did you also download the update ? I vaguely remember something about LoH being buggy when your DS installation is not version 1.11. If you indeed are running version 1.11 of DS itself, and the patched version 3.0 of LoH, I'd guess either your OS is acting quirky, or you may have a mod somewhere that disrupt it. ( I got the patched version from SiegeNetwork, though I don't know if these downloads still work nowadays... )

In the Resources folder, default 5 files : - Logic.dsres - Objects.dsres - Sound.dsres - Terrain.dsres - Voices.dsres In the DSLOA folder, default 4 : - BinkW32.dll - Expansion.dsmap - Expansion.dsres - ExpVoices.dsres In the Hyperborea folder, default 6 : - DSTL_EULA.htm - Hyperborea.dsmap - README_Hyperborea_3_0.txt - vox.ico - xaa_hyperborea.dsres - xaa_hyperborea_intro_movie.dsres All other files found are most likely mods, and may interfere. Though LoH ignores the DSLOA folder, so you don't need to check for mods there. If you have no mods at all, and you are using the DSLOA version of DS you don't have to update DS itself either. Then all I can guess is that maybe you are using a bugged version of LoH ? Maybe the unpatched version 3.0 ? ( Though I have no idea what the patch fixed, I know there was a patch for it. ) edit : Hmm, just noticed the url I put in my previous post doesn't open when clicked. This is the full url : www.siegenetwork.com/q?dir=Downloads&req=file&id=242

Note: LoH doesn't work with the DSLOA executable, you need the Dungeon Siege executable that came with DSLOA.

Gladly, though it may take a few days before I'll be able to. Have had to cannibalise some parts of my new desktop to get my new server running... And I'm messing with the virtualisation of the thing now. Quite time-consuming, especially on a first try. I have ordered the part I cannibalised again, so once that arrived I won't have to swap hardware to be able to boot my desktop again, but I'd still have to swich out a lot of cables and move the pc's back and fro, until I get my virtual dataserver up to replace the physical one...
Eh, long story short : Yes. I want to try again. But no, can't right now. Maybe in a few days.

Will do. Though probably after the weekend, if not later. I'm not even at home right now, and I haven't finished setting up that new server yet. I would've never thought setting up a fully virtualised 'nix server on RAID5 disks ( including the main OS ) could be this time consuming. Granted, I have learned a lot trough this. Especially seeing how I managed to baffle some experts with errors I got... Gratz on getting it up and running
