Leveling my Mundane, I was messing around dropping stuff on the ground and found some kind of combo that gives me a "nil chance" and I have no idea what kind of skill level this takes, I've seen it since lvl 12 Mundane and it's still like that since reaching lvl 14 Mundane... A healing potion is considered (Last I checked) "Medium chance" for me to make ("Very low" back when I was lvl 12), I figured this mystery item would be "very low chance" by now but nope still "nil chance".
So basically I've been just standing around in a safe zone with a decent deer population, with my packs practically empty except for like 2 arrows, filling them full of deer meat, foraging like nobodie's buisness and then eating the usable berries as soon as they drop (Aswell as picking up the green ones) and using the meat for my mana..... Leveling my Talent is even slower cause it dosen't drop berries to help my managen, Precision is even worse, is there a better way to level these skills or have I just found it? (Note I'm strictly killing deer with my bow, lvl 13 1/2 Precision so far)
P.S. What's with the Rune droprate? I've found only 2 so far in all of my grinding and one seems to be upping my managen (Green creation one.. I think), it'd be great if I could find another one like that, is it supposed to be this low or I'm just unlucky or am I doing something wrong? Do they drop from specific areas cause the only time I found them was one in the White Queen's maze and the other in the middle of a small ruin in a random jungle-themed area.

Levelling Precision goes best with rocks against spiders. If you don't have spiders handy, the pells will do. You get 1 xp for throwing/shooting, and 1 for hitting a live target. A pell isn't alive, so you only get 1 xp for throwing/shooting at it. Rocks are thrown fast and are expendable, so still better xp than hunting deer. Though, the fun bit about arrows is that if you kill with them, you get another 3 to 5 xp for the kill. So 1 xp for shooting, plus 1 for hitting, and plus 3 to 5 ( I forgot, sorry ) for actually killing your target. My advise is that if you knock a foe unconcious, you better put an arrow to use rather than a subsequent blow. You get more xp from the arrow, and it goes to Precision, which is harder to level. Lockpicking or Foraging is indeed one of the best ways to gain Mundane xp. Keep in mind, there doesn't need to be a lock nearby to cast it, and you get xp for casting, not succeeding. Runes are very important in Mw. Every spell you make consumes a Rune upon creation ( luckily not by casting it afterward ). So in order to make spells, you need Runes. Runes also boost your stats quite a bit. The green ones, the Creation Runes, boost your regeneration. Both Health and Mana. Though the dropchance is supposedly a bit higher, I've found that it's usually around 1 Rune per 100 rocks. Though the DS Random is a bit flawed. I once had 3 Runes drop in a row, and once got over 400 rocks without running across a single Rune. Some reasons have a higher rate of producing Runes than others, though I personally haven't been able to figure out which are which. I've found all regions have more-or-less equal droprates. Granted, I haven't bothered to actually keep track of all the numbers per type of region. Rune Foraging has been dubbed "the Summon Rock spell" by the community for a reason. On the bright side, it levels your Talent nicely, which helps when crafting spells. So in all, what you are doing is sort of the best way to do it. I say sort of, because there is a faster way, but you can't use that method just yet. Given time and experimentation, you'll be sure to run across it. You just need to be a bit higher level, first. Good luck

Rune Foraging has been dubbed the "Summon Rock spell" by the community for a reason. Good GOD, no joke, I have gone through uncountable amounts of entire packs full of rocks in the last couple of days, I fianlly did get a set of 4 creation runes though and somehow made it to 15 Talent fairly quickly, I experimented with all of the various runes and other random junk I had in my packs at the time and already gotten several spells.. I don't even have the base mana for atleast one of them haha. I've actually been having trouble gaining stat points in Intelligence, I've been using magic 100% of the time now and it's -just- barely reached 12, it seems to go up like 1 tiny squeak every 20-30 spells/runeforages or so, I wonder if with 18 STR and 15 DEX it's abit too late to level that up now? Does it ever speed up like normal again? Levelling Precision goes best with rocks against spiders. If you don't have spiders handy, the pells will do. I don't even remember where all the pells are all I know is I saw one way back in one of the earliest homerow areas and now I'm alittle too far out of the way to go back, however the thing about the spiders got me thinking, I swapped my bow and arrows with one of the half a million rocks in my packs and just started beating on enemies with them ad nasuem, it's just crazy how fast my Precision leveled, or maybe I felt that way after the long drawn-out torture that is leveling Mundane (It's name is very fitting) Mundane... I don't know if I've ever seen a skill go up so slow, 12 mana, 4 Creation runes, eating useable berries, meat .etc It still took me around two hours to get it from the 10% of the way to next level I left it at last time all the way to the next level (15). I was literally getting 1 pixel-wide tick to my bar every 9 casts of foraging, talk about ridiculous, I don't have lockpicking so I guess this is it then? Surely it coulden't get any slower?

I wonder if with 18 STR and 15 DEX it's abit too late to level that up now? Does it ever speed up like normal again? Ah, you have already gained several levels in other skills. Yes, to get a proper increase in Int, you'd need your Talent skill to catch up with whatever is currently your highest skill, and surpass it. In Mageworld, you are advised to level up all skills/stats you plan to need roughly equally. Not one before the other. It makes a big difference. I was literally getting 1 pixel-wide tick to my bar every 9 casts of foraging, talk about ridiculous, I don't have lockpicking so I guess this is it then? Surely it coulden't get any slower? Foraging goes just as well as Lockpicking, really. It just creates debris that you have to wait for to timeout, whenever you notice your system slows down a lot. And yes, that's about normal speed for levelling Mundane. The only way to level a skill faster is to gain it from hitting enemies, really.
