Well, as I said I also started an MP character, a black knight. Thanks for sharing. Nice pics. By the way, I think it is possible to build a similar character in SP if you'd really want to. Not that I am planning to do so, but in theory.. With the help of invisibility, you can skip almost any fight you wish except Karkaddan, the queen, the ancient knight and the king. You can set up a fight with a knight with a kite shield to train for as long as you want to. So if you have the patience, you have unlimited experience and you only *need* to win very few difficult fights at all. Granted, you will have to raise mundane to get the good melee weapons, so your strength score will not be perfect. But if you keep mundane well behind confidence, you will not lose too much, you can still get to 30 str and wear the best armor.

Yes, sort of.
The downside is for everything you train that isn't a fighting style, you will put xp in other stats too. You will also need to eat every half hour. I doubt there are enough deer and grovellers to melee and expect to have enough food for the entire expedition. But let's say it is doable. You will still have too low STR to beat the Knight and King in melee, even if you max out before finishing the game ( which would prevent your char to be exported to MP ). Many of the Elder Knights have 38 STR, and I think the King's Knight has 42 STR. With merely 30 STR yourself, you most likely won't stand a chance. Especially if you have no Runes. Because if you learn Rune Foraging and actually spend a few hours to get all the Runes you want -just to equip, not even talking about making Spells- you will also have gained several levels in Talent. Combined with all the Stats you get from learning skill, and then for actually crafting the gear you need, your STR will most likely not even be close to 30. Actually, without getting your Elan purple, I don't think you could melee the King's Knight anyway, no matter how high you'd get your STR.
Feel free to prove me wrong, though. But as I see it, it would be impossible to complete the SP game with a as-pure-melee-as-possible build.

Hmm.. I need to think about this. Going all melee in the SP is inefficient and not to be recommended, that's for sure. My last SP game I did try to stay as pure as possible - pure talent, that is. I also tried to finish the game quickly. At the end of the game I had: confidence 14 precision 10 talent 22 mundane 11 Finished the game in just under 20 hours. I explored 4 cities and killed the king's rook, the king's bishop and the queen's bishop, skipping all that would have saved some time but I just wanted to see those areas as white. I was so sad I couldn't cast revive on the slave of the king's bishop. So back on topic, I'd say you do not need high precision as a spellcaster.
